We are a small yacht club. In the past we had issues with misconduct from both members and suppliers which is why we purchased a NCP2475e to watch the club’s front gate. Our local installer Node9 did a great job mounting and setting up the camera. It works especially well in combination with our new Isonas access control system. We can now exactly pinpoint who came and left by cross referencing gate and camera timestamps. Since the camera is very busy and sends lot of media, we decided to purchase a recording plan.
I looked at and researched many, many different cameras over a period of 6 or more months. But few satisfied most of my requirements and only one satisfied them all, the NETCAMPRO. My requirements; (1) free remote live monitoring from a smart phone, (2) free live monitoring from the Internet, (3) free remote replay of history from a smart phone, (4) free replay of history from the Internet, (5) Power over Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, (6) free secure cloud monitoring and storage, (7) onboard storage option and (8) reasonably priced.
I purchased a half dozen outside NETCAMPRO cameras (NCP2475e) and a half dozen indoor NETCAMPRO cameras (NCP2255i), all from Amazon. I installed all the outdoor cameras myself, which are all configured using PoE.
First thing I noticed was the build quality of both the indoor and outdoor cameras was very high quality. They are both made of metal and have some mass to them. These cameras feel ruggedized. Setup was very easy, almost idiot proof.
When I first received the cameras, I experienced issues with some of the SD cards. The cameras stopped recording to the SD card. This is when I learned how superb the NETCAMPRO customer service group is. I sent an email and within 10 minutes, I had a response. I was instructed to switch SD cards to see if the cameras worked. They did. So we quickly determined that the SD cards were bad. They sent me replacement cards and the cameras have been trouble free ever since.
When I sent additional questions to the customer service group, some after hours and other over the weekends, I always received a response within an hour. And the received messages always had common sense responses. It was as effective as talking to a live person. Do not under estimate good customer service.
These cameras are not cheap. But if you are looking for a high quality camera, that will work once installed, can be accessed remotely with no required service monthly contracts, and high quality customer service then the NETCAMPRO is for you.
I recommend these cameras to everyone that asks and would buy them again.
On a side note, I was unfamiliar with cameras of this type and how to set-up cloud storage for the unit. I contacted their support department and had an immediate and thorough response to the hang-ups I was having during installation.
First, let me say that their customer service is absolutely the best!! I use their cameras as “critter cams”.
I am thrilled and a bit astonished at quality of the video captured by the new HD camera – especially at night. I operate both the new NetCamPro camera and the Nest camera side by side, and I rarely use the footage from the Nest.
